Rob Marpole Landscaping
About us
I started working for my dad in 2000, learning in the arts of drystone walling and hedgelaying amongst other landscaping jobs.
In 2007 I went self-employed, taking on a few jobs of my own but still working together full time with Dad.
By 2016 we decided we needed an extra pair of hands so I roped in my brother-in-law, Gaz, to help us full time, I'm not sure if he's forgiven me yet!
In early 2018 Dad came back from visiting my brother in New Zealand, he had been feeling unwell and after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer he passed away 3 weeks later. After getting over the shock it was time to get my bearings and work out a direction for the future of the business.
I decided the business needed to grow to cope with the demand for work, six years later I've managed to lure Joe and Dave into the fold, making us a full-time team of four now. My two sons, Matt and Leo, also work part time for me.
I count myself lucky to lead such a happy, capable and reliable team, one that Dad would have been very proud to have. They help me to continue the reputation that Dad worked so hard to build.
